5 SA Celebs who bought their first home in their twenties

Buying a home is a big deal for most, at any age, but buying a house that costs millions, before the age of 30, is a huge achievement.

Several young local stars have purchased mansions costing as much as R10 million, leaving their fans in awe.

Ayanda Thabethe recently shocked her fans by announcing that she had paid off her new house in under two years.

Most people take 20 years or more!

“By the grace of God, I’ve paid off my house. My first property. Biggest achievement. I always say, secure yourself first,” she wrote on Twitter.

She’s not the only celebrity who has made a huge purchase at such a young age.

These five stars bought their dream home in their twenties:

Bonang Matheba
South African’s media darling reportedly made her first million at 22. So it comes as no surprise that she would be a homeowner before her 30s.

She gave her fans a glimpse of her luxury condo during an episode of Top Billing in 2012. “My little slice of heaven,” she described the home.

Several years after paying off the condo, Queen B invested in a new property. She again invited Top Billing to take a peep at her gorgeous mansion.

Boity Thulo
Boity was trending topic on Twitter in 2016 when she showed off her new mansion on social media. She bought the R4-million house as a gift to herself for her 26th birthday!

While some reports questioned whether she really owned the house, the TV presenter turned rapper ignored her haters.

“Ownership comes with a massive sense of responsibility and an understanding of what is important,” she told BONA magazine.

Cassper Nyovest
Cassper Nyovest bought his dream home in 2017. The mansion reportedly cost a whopping R10 million. The home has a cigar lounge, four garages and a state-of-the-art studio.

“Chilling at the new spot. Four garages. I’m standing in the garage now. 26 and life is good man,” he said, shortly after purchasing the home.

Anatii
Rapper Anatii’s mansion has three levels and an indoor tree!

The 26-year-old has been living large since his early twenties. At 23, he owned a R2-million Mercedes AMG GT.

Zahara
Zahara bought her posh Little Falls home in 2012 – when she would have been around 22 years old. The home is one of just seven properties in her complex.

She has reportedly had some trouble keeping up with her bond payments, but she just bagged a hotel residency gig so we don’t expect the 30-year-old to be moving anytime soon.
