PIC: Babes Wodumo ‘pregnant’

Not for the first time in her career, it is being widely speculated that Babes Wodumo could be pregnant with Mampintsha’s child.

But this time, it’s the singer herself who sparked the rumours.

Babes, whose real name is Bongekile Simelane, has been involved in an on-off relationship with her controversial boyfriend, Mandla ‘Mampintsha’ Maphumulo for as long as we’ve been following her career. With their relationship seemingly ‘back on’, they look to be closer than ever but a recent message from the gqom queen has had fans questioning if they might be joined by a third member in the near future.

It began when Babes playfully captioned a picture of her kissing Mampintsha on the cheek with an interesting choice of words.

The Wololo star described him as her “Baby Daddy” and although the comment might have been playful, a lot of her social media fans have taken it very seriously.

While some were fixated on the caption, others expressed their anger towards the singer herself.

Barely six months ago, many South Africans woke up to a video of Mampintsha striking Babes Wodumo a number of times (an incident which came months after it was first alleged that he was abusing her).

At the time, the video was seen as a cry for help but her recent actions, including flaunting her rekindled love publicly, feels like a slap in the face to many of the fans who supported her in her most troubled times.

While Babes hasn’t confirmed whether or not she’s pregnant, those with sharp memories will recall that baby rumours have been circulating since last year.
