Andile Gumbi Hospitalized After Suffering A Heart Attack

South African actor, Andile Gumbi is currently fighting for his life after suffering a heart attack in Israel.

The 36-year-old actor has reportedly been admitted to Shaare Zedek Medical Centre, where he was successfully resuscitated, although still in a coma.

The former Isibaya actor is in Israel for a production called, Daniel The Musical where he portrays the character of King Nebu.

The executives from Daniel The Musical have released a statement which stated the following:

“Andile’s condition is critical as he suddenly had a heart attack on Tuesday. We are confident that he’ll receive the best medical care at the esteemed Shaare Zedek.”

Attempts of getting Andile’s wife to Israel are underway: “Our main priority now is to get Andile’s wife to him from South Africa and to ensure that we support him to the best of our ability.”

According to Isolezwe, the show’s spokesperson, Michelle Harding confirmed Andile’s severe state to the publication and further revealed that the show’s Director will fill in for Andile while he recovers.
