Controversial songstress Kelly Khumalo is giving us all sorts of vibes this Friday, as we prepare to waltz into the weekend in pure pazzazz. The musician debuted her new Gin on Instagram today, in a sophisticated black bottle called Controversy By Kelly Khumalo.
Kelly’s life has been filled with a lot of controversies recently, and she did not shy away from embracing her controversial title with the name of her gin. She recently hogged headlines after her sister penned a scathing letter, which revealed the shocking news that she is divorcing her due to her secret bullying and abusive tactics.
Fast forward from that dramatic period, Kelly has launched her Gin “Controversy”, and the name came in no surprise to some of us. The gin is already retailing at Makro and her fans are looking forward to tasting it.
In an Instagram post, she said “I just made Controversy taste good! I am excited to introduce the new Controversy Gin By Kelly Khumalo”, She said.
Kelly Khumalo is not the fist Mzansi celeb to venture into the alcoholic beverage industry. Larger than-life TV star Bonang Matheba also launched her MCC House of BNG, but before that Khanyi Mbau launched her gin I am Khanyi.
We hope it will sustain her, way beyond her tenure in the music industry because the industry is very fickle.
