Opinion: List of players to be released for Gavin Hunt to win trophies

Chiefs fans are happy for the appointment of Hunt, but that won’t automatically help the club to win trophies. Coach doesn’t play on the field, so the woes are still going to happen as long as there are still rotten players among good players.

When they announced the arrival of Hunt, they should’ve also announced that Bernard Parker’s contract has been terminated with immediate effect.

To be honest, I don’t see Gavin Hunt winning trophies with these players: Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya, Lazarous Kambole, Anthony Akumu Agay, Eric Mathoho, and Williard Katsande. They should also release their goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi. Itumeleng Khune should be the number one goalkeeper, because he has a good communication with the defenders unlike Akpeyi.

Chiefs have to sing quality players if they want to reclaim their glory days. You can’t bring a quality coach and will keep poor players.

Parker should be the first player on the list. If they are keeping because of experience and all, we are doomed because I don’t see him returning to form. He is finished.
