However, besides Connie Ferguson being an ageless beauty. The acclaimed actress has also shown that she is not afraid to get in touch with her inner child and show of her quirky side. As South African were celebrating Heritage Day and performing the “Jerusalema” Dance Challenge as instructed by the country’s first citizen. Connie opted to get dressed in her traditional Setswana garb and show us how it is done where she is from.
But what many could not get over was the latest video featuring her and her youngest daughter, Alicia Ferguson. The mother-and daughter have given many memorable dance routines. Weeks ago the two showcased where the dance routine started. In the video, Connie was receiving a tutorial on the basics of how to dance to amapiano music. The video showcased two things; first was the Alicia is a girl to look out for when it comes to a multi-talented brand that given half a chance will run with it. Second, was that Connie Ferguson is a fast learner.
And more than just being a fast learner, Connie still manages to manage keeping her grace. Therefore, the latest video showcases the final product of the numerous rehearsals we can only assumed went into perfecting the routine they shared. The two in the video are dancing to the hit amapiano single by TallArseTee titled “Umuntu Wakho” featuring JazziDisciples, Reece Madlisa, Zuma, Lady Du and Busta. The song is not just a favourite in the Ferguson’s household but a hit nationally, with the potential to continue growing in its popularity due to the warmer seasons beginning.
The video shows the Connie has got the moves and that our favourite “Karabo” is a natural. Another aspect of their dance routine that was highlighted was that it showcased that amapiano can be “lady-like.” Throughout watching the video, it is hard not to marvel at the fact the Connie makes dancing to amapiano classy where normally the aim is to see all the work that went into dancing show.
Following this video it will be interesting to see what the two try out next. Already they have danced to hip-hop with Connie tackling the whoa. Now all we can do is wait and see the next ambitious dance routine that will be undertaken by the two.
