Stokkies, real name Wayne Van Rooyen has gradually climbed the ladder to become one of the main characters and one of the most loved characters on the show. His witty comments, schemes that almost always fail and street smart persona has earned him a huge following.

Currently, Stokkies has found love for the first time on the show. Although the relationship is built on lies, Stokkies seems genuinely in love.

In real life though, Stokkies does not have to pretend to be in love and is head over heels in love with his wife. The actor, Wayne van Rooyen has showed off his woman who he adores so much. The Scandal actor usually shares photos of his wife and on normal occasions, he never shy’s away from showing his love and appreciation for her. Love is indeed the most beautiful thing we can all have.

On his fame, Wayne Van Rooyen is very chilled but that hasn’t stopped fans from mistaking him for his character on TV and having a proper go at him.

The star, said that he was often stopped by fans for pictures but occasionally things turned bad.

“I always try to be accommodating but when I am with my family I try to make them aware that I am spending precious time with my family. I have got kids and they get confused when it happens. They wonder why people want to take pictures with their dad. It happens. Sometimes people get really horrible.”

Wayne has played the role of Stokkie for over five years but said he was not too concerned, as a coloured actor, of being typecast in stereotypical coloured roles.

“I really enjoy playing the character but if I get cast in too many roles like it I might be concerned. Being typecast is always a thing, but you can always so no or ask questions about the character. Yes, a lot of coloured actors play gangsters or certain roles, but it is up to the individual to not take it. It is tricky but there is always a long-term possibility of writing your own character and making your own production.”
