Isidingo’s Thulani Mtsweni Who Played Sibiya Joins Isibaya

Thulani will play Mpihlangene Zungu, Mpiyakhe Zungu’s younger brother. Expect a sly, scheming, and manipulative guy with a very gifted tongue, and a master of words.

Apparently, Bomb Productions doesn’t wanna go down without a fight, and they’re doing all they can to save the show by bringing in new and old cast members that fans loved and would appreciate on the show.

Thulani Mtsweni is known for his role on Isidingo as Sibiya who was a tongue in cheek miner, and womanizer who always got into trouble.

He also appeared in Number in 2017 and in Rhythm City for his role as an initiator who abducted young boys for initiation school.

The actor was the reason fans still watched Isidingo before it got canceled by the SABC.

The actor has mentioned in several interviews that he doesn’t mind being a calling-cast unlike other actors as he’s a hard worker and has a genuine love for the arts.

Expect him to get on the nerves of The Ndlovu’s who are the Zungus’s rivals on the show and to butt heads with his sister Mancwane Zungu.

There’s been no word as to how long he’ll be on Isibaya for or if he’ll be replacing the shows leading actor; Siyabonga Thwala who plays Mpiyakhe ‘Mgijima’ Zungu.

The actor is apparently leaving for The Legacy and will be finished off so that his son Alex Zungu can live.

Should the show’s viewership ratings improve by early 2021, Isibaya might not get canceled as all shows on DSTV get reviewed and get their contracts renewed every year.

Should Isibaya not improve in viewership ratings by early 2021, Isibaya will get canned like Bomb Productions previous show (Isithembiso) which only aired for 4 seasons.

Watch Isibaya On Mzansi Magic, Weekdays At 8.30 PM
