Amanda du-Pont And Shawn Rodriques Are Reportedly Divorced

TshisaLive reports that Amanda du-Pont and her husband Shawn Rodriques have finalised their divorce. For the past few months, fans have been speculating that they have separated, with blogger Musa Khawula alleging that she has found new romance.

The publication reports that Amanda and Shawn finalised their divorce on Friday, 20 January after being married for 3 years. Their relationship has been raising suspicions from fans because they stopped posting each other. In fact the last time Shawn spoke about anything related to Amanda was when she made a video detailing how she was allegedly raped by Uyajola 9/9 host Jub Jub.

He took to Instagram and said he wishes they could burn in hell, “F**k you, pig. I can’t wait until you f***ng burn in hell,” he said and tagged Jub Jub.

There was also rumours that Amanda found love with a mysterious man in Cape Town. The businesswoman and actress clarified that she was out with friends and the man shown in the pictures is actually her bodyguard.

“The original video. An afternoon riding bikes and scooters with my friends. The image you posted seems to be a malicious cropped version to insinuate rumours. For clarity, the man in the image is my bodyguard. A polite plea to leave my name out of your gossip,” she clapped back.

When all of this happened, it was still months after she made headlines alleging Jub Jub sexually abused her while in a relationship with her. “No, you didn’t smash me, you raped me, you forcibly opened my legs, forced me myself for two years and made me believe that there was no way out. The most painful part of all of this was that I was a virgin and I told him at the time. I told Jub Jub at the time that I was a virgin and I planned to be a virgin until the time I got married,” said a tearful Amanda on Instagram responding to his interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG.

“So it is not true. I didn’t leave because I saw a picture. I left because he tried to kill me and I have always been afraid to leave because of the treats that were made but at that moment where he tried to kill me I knew the very thing I was afraid of, which was dying… I knew was meant to happen that day and I actually got away,” she continued.

“When I got away I went to the police station to try and open a case of abuse and rape and attempted murder. The police officer said to me to go home and think about my decision because he is so sick and tired of women coming to him with their boyfriends and husbands only having to take them back,” she added.

“I had an abortion of course because there was absolutely no way I would have a child that was forcefully given to me,” she added.
