Media Statement: SAPS Investigating Murder Case in Pienaarsrivier
The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Pienaarsrivier has launched a murder investigation following the discovery of an unidentified African female’s body.
The incident occurred on Saturday, 10 June 2023, near the Pienaarsrivier Maubane off-ramp.
During their routine patrol, police officers were alerted by community members who had found the partially burnt body of a woman in the bushes adjacent to the off-ramp.
The deceased, believed to be in her thirties, has not yet been identified.
She is described as having a dark complexion with short hair. At the time of discovery, she was dressed in a red leather jacket, black jeans, and red half boots.
The circumstances surrounding her death remain under investigation by the police.
SAPS is appealing to anyone who may have information regarding the identity of the deceased or any details related to the incident to come forward.
