Dineo Ranaka Was FIRED By Kaya FM Following Struggle With Mental Health
In a recent announcement, radio station Kaya FM has terminated the services of presenter Dineo Ranaka due to her public struggle with suicidal thoughts and severe chronic depression.
Dineo had been admitted to a medical health institution for treatment, but the radio station reportedly faced challenges in reaching her to provide assistance.
In a memo sent to employees, Kaya FM confirmed the termination, stating that Dineo had been off air since May 22nd when she did not appear for her show.

The station became aware of her public outcry on social media, leading to her medical diagnosis.
Despite multiple attempts to engage with Dineo regarding her wellness journey, the station made the difficult decision to part ways with her in the interest of bringing consistency to the station’s operations.
While acknowledging Dineo’s contribution to Kaya FM, acting managing director Collen Louw expressed gratitude for her time with the station and emphasized their willingness to support her mental wellness journey.
The statement conveyed a hope for potential future collaborations.
According to Sunday World, Dineo’s legal team may challenge the termination at the appropriate time.
