In light of recent events, Moja Love, the DStv channel 157, has released a statement addressing the alleged court cases involving their presenter, Molemo Maarohanye, popularly known as Jub Jub.
The musician and television personality appeared in the Joburg Magistrates Court on Thursday, facing charges of rape, attempted murder, and assault.
Following his court appearance, Jub Jub was released on bail of R10,000 on the same day.
The 43-year-old from Soweto had voluntarily handed himself over to the police in Brixton prior to the court hearing. He is set to appear in court again on 24th August.
Nonzwakazi Cekete, the media liaison and spokeswoman for Siyaya TV Channels, which includes Moja Love, stated that they are aware of the matter and will closely monitor Jub Jub’s legal proceedings.
The channel expressed its commitment to allowing the law to take its course in the case.
Despite the ongoing legal issues, Jub Jub’s show “Uyajola 9/9” is scheduled to start airing this coming month on Moja Love.
The channel’s statement acknowledged the arrest of one of their talents and emphasized their dedication to following the matter closely.
Moja Love reassured the public that any further developments or requests related to the case should be communicated through the appropriate channels.
