UK’s Smart Money app is bought by Vanquis Banking Group Snoop

Vanquis Banking Group has made an undisclosed acquisition of UK fintech Snoop, a money-saving app leveraging AI and open banking technology.

Snoop, founded in 2019 by Dame Jane-Anne Gadhia, provides users with personalized insights into their spending habits and aims to save up to £1,500 per year for its users.

The app’s acquisition by Vanquis Banking Group is expected to provide significant scale and access to a broader customer base of 1.7 million customers, enabling them to offer enhanced financial management tools.

Snoop’s CEO sees the acquisition as a means to strengthen their purpose, while Vanquis Banking Group views it as the perfect partner to grow their business.
