A gospel star’s wife has died in a car accident
A tragic accident killed Sechaba Pali's beloved wife, Nompilo Kunene.
FAMOUS gospel singer and songwriter Sechaba Pali lost his beloved wife, Nompilo Kunene, in a tragic accident.
The accident happened on Sunday, 10 September, in Thabong, Welkom.
When the SunTeam reached out to the Joburg-based singer, he was still in shock. His son called back and said his dad could not talk to the media.
On Wednesday, 13 September, the Pali and Kunene families released a joint statement about Nompilo’s death.
“To Sechaba Pali’s Global Supporters, it is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Nompilo Kunene, beloved partner to our son Sechaba Pali, who lost her life after succumbing to her injuries due to a car accident with our son, Sechaba present with her, also suffered bodily injuries this past Sunday, 10 September in Thabong, Welkom,” read the statement.
“As lovers of the South African Gospel worshipper, ‘SECHABA’, we as the family thank you for always believing and trusting in his ability and earnest to serve the Lord even in the times he went through.
“This is another loss he suffers, and we hope your love continues so that he may draw courage from you after losing the love of his life, friend, mother to his children and fellow worshipper who went to all his events to support and sing alongside him,” the statement said.
The family asked everyone to keep them in their prayers.
“Your outpouring of love, support and prayers are welcome as they strengthen and comfort both the Palis and the Kunenes in this trying time,” said the family. – Daily Sun
