Summit Shut Down Following Fiery Blaze
In an unfortunate turn of events, the renowned Summit Restaurant in Garsfontein faced significant fire damage on Wednesday, September 20th, forcing it to cease operations temporarily.
The restaurant conveyed this message through a concise Facebook statement.
“Dear valued customers, please note that we have experienced a fire at our store. Summit will be closed until further notice. We thank you all for your understanding,” the restaurant said.

Tshwane Emergency Services reported the fire in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Fortunately, the blaze was limited to the second floor, which is where music is played, causing damages.
Remarkably, the ground floor, kitchen, and rooftop of the restaurant remained unharmed.
The precise cause of the fire remains unknown and is under investigation.
