Diddy Drama: Black Coffee Blocks Fan Who Questioned Their Friendship

Black Coffee Remains Silent Amid Diddy's Legal Woes: Fans Speculate on Social Media

Amid swirling controversy surrounding his friend and collaborator Sean Combs, better known as Diddy, all eyes have turned to South African DJ sensation Black Coffee.

However, despite their close relationship and Black Coffee’s past performances at Diddy’s VIP events, the DJ has chosen to stay mum on the unfolding Hollywood scandal.

Recent reports have revealed that authorities conducted raids on two of Diddy’s properties on Monday, 25 March, as part of an undisclosed investigation.

The media mogul has faced a barrage of lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct, including accusations from his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

Reports from Rolling Stone suggest that Diddy is under federal scrutiny for allegations ranging from sex trafficking to domestic violence and racketeering.

While Diddy’s whereabouts remain unknown, Black Coffee has been actively performing abroad in Colombia and the US, as evidenced by photos shared on his social media accounts.

These gigs mark a triumphant return for the DJ following a harrowing aircraft accident in January, which necessitated emergency back surgery.

Despite trending on social media platforms regarding the news about Diddy, Black Coffee has refrained from addressing the reports.

Some fans speculate that inquiries about the allegations led to being blocked by the DJ, as noted by one Twitter user, @mizar.

The friendship between Black Coffee and Diddy has been well-documented online, with the DJ even performing at the rapper’s lavish Miami party in 2017.

Over the years, they’ve shared glimpses of their studio sessions and hangouts, with Black Coffee frequently extending warm birthday wishes to his music industry comrade.

Speaking to Kaya FM earlier this year, Coffee spoke about landing an invite to hang out with Diddy and perform at his party.

He said: “I was so shocked… Puff was so happy. There was a long list of DJs, pre-arranged, and there was a line-up. [And] he [Diddy] took the mic and was like ‘Black Coffee is going to play right now,’”.

Black Coffee also revealed that he was collaborating with Diddy, whom he affectionately called his “big bro”, on a much-awaited release.

He told Phat Joe, a then East Coast Radio presenter: “I assumed he wanted me for a dance album, but that’s not the case. He’s working on his last hip-hop album. I finally sat down with him and he was explaining to me the vision, like the sound he was trying to get.

“So I’m not contributing to house music, I’m contributing to hip-hop music”.
