He’s been out of the public eye since leaving Muvhango but now he’s back with a bang.
Actor and singer Brian Temba put acting on hold to focus on his fourth solo album, UnABC.
“It took me a year,” he tells us. “The challenge with self-producing is breaking through writer’s block.”
This year marks two decades in the industry for the Zanele singer.
Here are five things we bet you didn’t know about Brian:
1. HE’S GETTING INTO THE MOVIE INDUSTRY
“I’m doing music for a movie Kagiso Modupe is producing. There are also some other movies I’m going to be part of [in terms of soundtracks].”
2. HE’S IN TOUCH WITH HIS MUVHANGO CO-STARS
“I talk to Dingaan Mokebe ka Khumalo, Macdonald Ndou and Gabriel Temudzani.”
3. HE’S UNAPOLOGETIC ABOUT HIS SOUND
“My new album UnABC stands for UnApologetic, UnBreakable and UnCensored. It’s a reflection of my journey in the music industry because it has been unapologetic in terms of the music I’ve been doing.”
4. GRATEFUL IS HIS FAVE SONG OFF THE NEW ALBUM
“It’s dedicated to everybody who has been supportive of my career – from fans to family to the media. I wrote it after thinking of everything I’ve been through and everyone who has been there for me.”
5. HE WANTS TO DO HOUSE AND RAP
“I’d love to collaborate with Black Coffee and Rouge.”
