Skeem Saam actress Amanda Du-pont celebrated her 33rd birthday on Saturday, 26 June.
She took to Instagram to celebrate her 33rd, she penned, “Birthday Energy…A CEO🤍🤌🏽life is looking a lot different and I’m here for it. To progression, building an empire, becoming the woman of my dreams and inspiring others to reach for the stars! Living in my purpose and serving God’s will for my life”.
Amanda launched her skincare range Lelive on 23 April 2021. Announcing the news on Instagram, Amanda said that the range is available exclusively on Superbalist.
She said, “So humbled, grateful, and thrilled-happy shopping hope it becomes a bathroom and travel fav for life products are unisex! So excited to share the range with you. Made from African Ingredients, By Africa”.
Amanda is also engaged to her long-term boyfriend Shawn Rodriques. Last year around this time, she had not started planning her wedding. We are not sure if her wedding day preparations have taken shape yet but we know if she has started planning, she will be the most stunning bride ever.
It is refreshing to see that she is not pressured to get married or even plan her wedding. Society has pressured most ZAlebs into tying the knot when they feel that things are moving at an awfully snail pace. Some people end up making mistakes and doing things that they should not have done. It is good to take time and curate every little detail for your wedding.
Amanda lost her dog Dior early this year. She expressed her heartbreak in a lengthy post on Instagram and said,
“RIP to my baby Dior. We lost her last night. I am broken and have been crying all night. She was the purest soul, tap dancing and picking up a toy in her mouth every time I walk in the door. Slept by my feet always! Loved to be carried like a baby and was no stranger to the soft life. We don’t deserve the love and joy dogs bring into our lives. She loved anyone and everyone. RIP my baby Dior – Like Pop Smoke, you left us on a high like a legend!”
After Dior’s death, Amanda said that Dior had been having back and so they took her to Bryanston Veterinary Hospital for an examination.
She said, “She had back pain two days ago and we took her to Bryanston Veterinary Hospital to be examined. If you love your pets PLEASE DO NOT take them there you will lose them with no solid explanation or communication. All they say is that she could have had a bad reaction to the anaesthesia, but they aren’t sure.”
Dior was an important member of Amanda’s family and we cannot imagine what not having her run around is doing to her. Dogs are such loving creatures that give the best time of comfort and friendship. Losing them hits just like every death we experience. With all of Amanda’s wins lately, we are sure Dior is smiling at her and keeping her safe wherever she is.
