When it was announced that AKA will be featured on the Music Is King line-up, fans went on a frenzy. Not only because AKA is dubbed one of the best performer in the country, but because of the beef between him and Black Coffee being laid to rest.
The rapper has put his beef with Black Coffee – which started a couple of years ago – behind him and said that he is a different person now.
AKA has praised Black Coffee for his contribution to the South African music industry and said he is humbled to work with the DJ.
Speaking on the reason he featured AKA on this year’s line-up, Black Coffee said that AKA is one of the most amazing live artists on the continent. He also said the aim was to celebrate music and unite the industry.
AKA spoke of the compliment he received from the DJ and jokingly agreed with the DJ saying he is indeed.
“With me and Black Coffee there has always been this growth. I am a different person now than I was then. Back in the days. It is humbling for him to pull me up and share some of his fire. I have my own little fire burning over here. For him to take some of the wood from his fire and put it on my fire is pretty cool.” Said AKA.
The Music Is King concert will be taking place in Johannesburg and Durban on the 14th and 15th of December.
