He might be gone, but his work and achievements still speak volumes. S’fiso Ncawne’s wife Ayanda took some time to reminisce about the talent that her husband was.
“As I was cleaning the most PRICELESS room in the house, his mini-gallery. I thought lemme pose a bit and take a pic with them babies, she said displaying the awards. Gushing over her husband’s recognition Ayanda added, “Over 30 awards / accolades became best selling artist in SA over the past decade, touched millions around the world, yet grew up without biological parents and only had grade 2.”
Sfiso died on December 5 2016 from complications of a kidney failure. His death hit Ayanda hard, who met Sfiso when she was only 18 years old. Although it’s not easy, she has managed to pick up the pieces and stay strong for their two sons.
Ayanda has also proved her critics wrong and has been hard at work promoting Abathandwa, the gospel group whose track Ehhe Moya Wam has taken the country by storm. Abathandwa is also bagging awards and becoming a force to be reckoned with.
