Babes Wodumo on the love she has for her fans & being scared of cockroaches
This week, four die-hard celebrity fans will compete in various interactive games in the hopes of being crowned Babes’ smooothest fan on The Tropika Smooth Fan Quiz Show.
And whilst the fans keep their eye on the R250,000 grand prize, we got the chance to know Babes Wodumo a bit more, and one thing that stood out about the things we didn’t know about Babes Wodumo is how much she values her fans amidst all the drama that tends to surround her career.
Babes has gone out to acknowledge her fans and is very cognizant of the fact that it is because of them that she has become so successful in the game.
“I love my fans. They’ve really helped springboard my career by supporting my music and have effortlessly helped me get to where I am today. They are the people that admire and recognise each and everything that you do and it makes you want to work harder than ever before, to continue giving them ground-breaking music and performances. That’s why it’s so important to continue to recognize those who are supporting your craft.”
Besides thanking them for their support, Babes has also gone out to share that her fans have taught her a lot of things about herself as well.
“I think that the biggest lesson my fans have taught me is to remain humble and to always appreciate and be grateful for the talent that God has given me. It is so easy to take these things for granted and I hope never to do so. I also learnt that I have an incredible support system and that I need to be one too. Many look up to me as a role model of sorts and I hope to inspire many young women around the country. ”
Apart from speaking highly of her fans, one interesting fact about Babes that she said she would love to share with her fans is the fact that she is terrified of cockroaches. So if you plan on inviting Babes to your place, just make sure there are little to no cockroaches at your spot.
“I am so scared of cockroaches – or any creepy crawlies! If they are around me or fly around me, you can be guaranteed I am jumping around on the sofas or the bed until someone gets rid of them!”
