The deadly Covid-19 disease is seemingly sparing no one, with people from all social strata of society contracting it on a daily basis.
According to Government Information Communication Systems (GCIS) twitter, Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation, David Mahlobo has tested positive for Covid-19. This after he received his test today. He had not tested for the Covid-19 since its outbreak started last year in March.
There was no indication regarding whether he is showing symptoms or not. However, it was confirmed that he is currently in self-isolation at home and, his is in “high spirits”.
As per the Covid-19 protocols, whoever came in contact with him must self-isolate in their homes to avoid spreading the disease further in case they contracted it.
The country is experiencing a second wave of infections for the deadly disease, with the Health Minister confirming that over 20 000 tested positive.
Mahlobo is a huge political ally of former President Jacob Zuma and is also in the ANC’s RET faction in the NEC, which is diametrically opposed to President Cyril Ramaphosa
