‘Chillers are airheads’: Ntsiki Mazwai slams MacG’s Podcast And Chill fans

It’s no secret that controversial podcaster Macgyver Mukhwevo aka MacG has an army of loyal followers who tune in to Podcast and Chill every week. Human rights activist and poet Ntsiki Mazwai, who was a guest on the podcast in 2019, landed in hot water after she referred to MacG’s fans (popularly known as chillers) as airheads and bimbos.

NTSIKI MAZWAI’S HISTORY WITH ‘PODCAST AND CHILL’

Earlier this year, MacG trended on Twitter after his “uncomfortable” interview with American R&B star, Ari Lennox.

In an episode of Podcast and Chill, the 33-year-old podcaster invited Ntsiki Mazwai to weigh in on the matter but claimed she demanded R70 000 to appear on the podcast.

Addressing the claim in a Twitter space, Mazwai said the money was meant to pay for her legal fees.

“They gave me the impression they wanted to help as they felt I was not treated with justice by the system. Their office was very vocal about the people who sued me and they wanted to help,” said Mazwai.

Taking to Twitter on 1 February she slammed MacG and his co-host Sol Phenduka writing: “Stop using my name for relevance.”

NTSIKI MAZWAI DRAGS MACG’S CHILLERS

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday 17 May, Ntsiki Mazwai shared her opinion on pop culture in South Africa, sharing that she felt it was “in the pits”.

“Podcast and Chill and all the low vibrational work that is being celebrated right now… Creating a generation of hyper-sexualised idiots,” she wrote.

Mazwai also dragged MacG’s chillers calling them “bimbos” with “no depth” and “no intellectual content”.

“Just loud laughing at stupid things. Chillers are airheads,” she continued.

CHILLERS FIGHT BACK

MacG’s chillers took aim a Ntsiki Mazwai with one tweep calling her a “struggling artist”.

“But you wanted to be paid to be on the show…Such weird, broke cougar ass outchea desperate for attention,” wrote another tweep.

“Not everything has to be so serious about life. So yeah, I’m a proud bimbo and airhead.”
