Ex ‘Yizo-Yizo’ & ‘Generations’ Star Living Her Best Life At 54

This star has been in the industry for decades and she doesn’t look like slowing down anytime soon. She quite an impressive profile and is regarded as one of the best to have come out of South Africa. She definitely isn’t letting age getting in the way of her living her best life and her looks compliment her lifestyle considering that she still looks the same as she looked when we first saw her in our television screens a little over 20 years ago. Her fountain of youth seems to be never ending and it beautiful to see.

The star is famous for role as Mawande Memela on Generations as she was part of the cast who were axed after protesting for a pay increase. Her earlier role as Grace Letsatsi was the introduction to what would turn out to be an amazing career. She has also appeared on soapies like Isidingo, 7 De Laan among many others. She also has an impressive filmography having appeared in the award winning Tsotsi counting the ‘John Vuli Gate’ line which was turned into an amapiano song in 2020.

Popular entertainment commentator and TV host Phil Mphela shared snaps of himself alongside Nambitha Mpumlwana om his Twitter profile. The pair could be seen hanging out inside what looks to be a bar or pub and this just one of their many outings. They are good friends and usually hand out together whenever they get a chance as Phil shared that he wanted to spend some time with his friend following her return to Johannesburg.

Fans reacted to the snaps as many shared their excitement to see Nambitha as tweeps reiterated that she looks happy and content judging by the pictures. Others had questions of when she would return to television but other tweeps felt the need to disclose that they were reminded of her character on Generations as she completed nailed the role back in the days. It is truly amazing to see that she isn’t letting age get in her way of having a good time and going out with friends.

She has certainly done it all in terms of acting and at the age of 54, many will agree that she can still score roles on television, however it seems like she isn’t worried about that at all and is clearly enjoying herself away from the public eye. Personally I feel the story of how her relationship with Phil Mphela started should be interesting considering that they have become inseparable. Nambitha definitely has space in the current climate of television in South Africa and many will agree that her talent is needed in the space even as producer, director or writer, she still has a lot to contribute to the industry.
