Former Generations actress Sophie Lichaba nee Ndaba’s who played the character of “Queen Moroka”, on the show – her marriage to her third husband, businessman Max Lichaba is said to be headed for a divorce?
Sunday World previously reported that the actress and Max, allegedly separated last year just after the outbreak of Covid-19 in March.
The disintegration of their much publicized union happened after the couple renewed their vows and wore new wedding bands, last year in February.
The couple is allegedly heading for a divorce according to the publication, after trying unsuccessfully to sort out their differences and rekindle their love. If this faltering matrimony crumbles, it will be Sophie’s third failed marriage in 23-years.
Sophie Lichaba, who shot to stardom when she played the character of Queen Moroka in Generations was married to fellow actor Themba Ndaba, who plays the character of Brutus in The Queen, in 1998.
The couple divorced in 2007. She later tied the knot with Bishop Keith Harrington in 2011, and they broke up acrimoniously in 2013.
She got married in 2018 to Max Lichaba. News of the couple’s separation, which was kept hush-hush was revealed by the couple’s close-friend who did not want to be named for fear of victimization. The friend alleged that Max has moved out of their matrimonial house in Johannesburg and he has relocated back to his hometown. And Sophie has moved back to her estate house, West of Johannesburg.
Sunday World discovered that the couple’s drift apart after Sophie accused Max of cheating on her with a woman from Kimberley.
The alleged mistress refuted the allegations that she was involved in an adulterous affair with Max.
