ANC president, Cyril Ramaphosa, has told its parliamentary caucus he only received Magashule’s letter of “suspension” at 10PM on Wednesday night – “with shock and dismay”. Ramaphosa says he will leave the whole matter to the NEC to deal with it. This was reported by SABC journalist, Matshidiso.
The ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule was hitting back against his suspension, by attempting to suspend President Cyril Ramaphosa, but will he get it right?
Currently there’s a growing power struggle in the ANC as Magashule is refusing to cooperate with his suspension after being charged with corruption. Magashule last night wrote a letter which left many ANC leaders shocked.
Meanwhile, ANC spokesman, Pule Mabe, says there is no ANC member that cannot be disciplined. Mabe says it’s imperative for members to understand the oath they took when they joined the party. This comes after SG Ace Magashule issued a letter to party President Cyril Ramaphosa saying he is suspended.
On the other hand, The ANC’s national officials are set to hold an urgent meeting today after the drama that unfolded on Wednesday night.
