Idols SA Back With A Bang

Fans of Idols SA will be happy to hear that their favorite singing competition program is going to return to small screens.

Idols SA season 18 will debut on Mzansi Magic on July 17 and is expected to be bigger and better, according to a statement made by Mzansi Magic. A season that promises to treat fans to show-stopping performances has Standard Bank as its new headlining sponsor.

The show is back with a new theme, “Singing a Different Tune,” and new judges Thembi Seete, a legendary musician, and JR Bogopa, a multi-talented rapper and TV celebrity, will join the returning judges Somizi Mhlongo and Thembi Seete. For more than a year, Tebogo “ProVerb” Thekisho has served as the show’s host.

“Idols SA is back!! As much as it is about the music, it is also about the people: we are proud to unearth new and emerging talent, and our viewers form emotional connections with the singers as we follow along their journey from audition stage to making a career from their passion.
