It has been an eventful week in South African entertainment, sparked by a viral video in which Mampintsha physically assaults his partner, Babes Wodumo.
he video prompted an outcry from South Africans, and by the end of Monday the hashtag #LockUpMampintsha was trending across the country, with many determined to see the abusive musician behind bars.
That said, many names in local entertainment have joined forces in boycotting Mampintsha and his business ventures in one way or another.
It seems as if South African celebrities are taking a zero-tolerance stance on abuse.
Here are a few big names who have abandoned Mampintsha and his endeavours for good…
Busiswa
Busiswa wasted no time in withdrawing her name from a West Ink music festival at which she was scheduled to perform.

Terry Pheto
Terry drew the line (figuratively) on Mampintsha the moment that she laid eyes on that video.
Like many, she’s calling for the artist’s arrest as we speak.

Somizi
Somizi is another who had been booked to perform at one of Mampintsha’s upcoming events.
When asked if he’d stick to his performance, he said: “I can say now I am pulling out. I am pulling out. I cannot be part of this. I am not going to keep quiet and support it. I am so angry right now,” CLICK HERE TO SEE MORE
