The late Lebo Mathosa was a famous kwaito musician in the late 1990s to the 2000s. She was associated with the legendary group Boom Shaka. She broke rose to fame in 1994 after meeting Don Laka in Johannesburg.
According to information Mathosa was born and raised in Daveyton, her family would later move to Johannesburg where she attended school at St Mary’s High School.
The late Lebo Mathosa died on 23 October 2006 during a motor vehicle accident after her driver lost control of the vehicle, the cause of her death is still not known. During the time of her death it has been previously revealed that she had a daughter.
Her daughter Anne Ngwenya, late last year took to social media to share a snap alongside her mother capturing it “My mum vs me”. Like her mother, Anne is also pursuing a musician journey with the aim of releasing her album soon. Anne currently resides in Middleburg in Mpumalanga Province.
