Plot twist: Zandie Khumalo does U-turn

For most of this week, South African songbird Kelly Khumalo has been trending as the Senzo Meyiwa trial intensifies. Many social media users have been suspicious of her involvement in the former soccer star’s murder that took place at her Vosloorus home in 2014. Her sister Zandie Khumalo sparked further speculation when she released a cryptic song on Wednesday this week about the truth finally coming out.

And now she has taken to social media to share photos of Kelly who she says she will always support – even though their relationship has been strained for the last few years.

South Africans have been following the Senzo Meyiwa case with bated breath as they wait anxiously to find out who was behind the killing which was initially ruled out as a botched robbery.

All the while, many fingers have been pointed at Meyiwa’s former girlfriend Kelly Khumalo who recently was accused of shooting the former Orlando Pirates star by accident.

Many people became even more suspicious when her sister- who she hasn’t spoken to for over a year – released a song called Ikhwela with very cryptic lyrics.

And now she has seemingly done a u-turn and shared on her Instagram earlier today that she will always support her sister.

Taking to the app she wrote:

“Till the wheels fall off mntaka,” she also added some of the song’s controversial lyrics: “Whenever you need me Dali call me”

Many of the sisters’ fans loved that she was showing her sister some much-needed support and commended her for reaching out.

One fan, Morongwa wrote:

“Family is everything Zandie, she needs you more than you know.”
