The police in South Africa have revealed that King Goodwill Zwelithini’s son, Prince Lethukuthula Zulu who died under mysterious conditions on Friday last week was m_rdered.
Prince Lethukuthula died at the age of 50 in his apartment in Northwold, Johannesburg in what is suspected to be a robbery gone wrong.
Speaking during an interview with IOL, Gauteng police spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters revealed that they believe the late Prince Lethukuthula was m_rdered.
According to Brigadier Peters, a m_rder docket has already been opened after they became aware that valuables and money were stolen from his apartment.
“The inquest docket that was opened at Honeydew SAPS on Friday afternoon, November 6, to further investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of Prince Lethukuthula Zulu at Graceland Residential Complex in Northwold, has now been converted to a m_rder case based on preliminary evidence emerging from the initial investigation,” Brigadier Peters said.
“A case of theft has also been opened for investigation alongside the m_rder case following reports that a number of valuables and an undisclosed amount of cash had been stolen,” he said.
Meanwhile, the police are still waiting for post mortem results to establish the cause of death to guide them in their investigations as he died under mysterious circumstances. The police in S.A are appealing to anyone who might have information to come forward and assist the police with their investigations.
