Things we didn’t know about Skeem Saam’s Lerato Marabe and Oratile Maitisa

Skeem Saam’s dynamic duo, Pretty and Eunice, keep viewers tuning in every week to see what the school girls get up to on a regular basis but what viewers will be happy to know is that the duo are besties in real life too.

After working together for so long, there are a few similarities in the lives of the actresses behind each role (Lerato Marabe and Oratile Maitisa). Check out these facts about the pair:

-Lerato was 11 and Oratile 13 when they started working on Skeem Saam

-Lerato (18) started acting when she was just four years old and appeared in adverts for kids’ programme Takalani Sesame

-Bothe Lerato and Oratile are currently in relationships.
“My partner and I have been together for two years and he’s such an amazing person. He’s also one of the people patient enough to deal with my personality. He refuses to go to malls with me though because so many people recognise me and walk up to me. But there’s honestly nothing better than having a partner who puts in the effort to be more understanding. Effort is so attractive,” explained Lerato.

“I’m a very spiritual person – I love God. And the fact he also loves God and wants to know about Him and experience Him is such a beautiful thing,” explained Oratile who is in a new relationship and says things are looking promising.

-Lerato was once slapped by a fan.

-Both girls – who have matriculated – want to study further
“I want to have my own production company one day, so it’s important for me to study the ins and outs of the business,” says Lerato.

-Oratile is considering studying towards a degree in industrial psychology because she just wants to help people.
