A location intelligence solutions business with strong, industry-specific expertise and capabilities in data management, GIS, analytics and software development within sectors that include property, retail, logistics, auto, telco and financial services, is seeking to employ a Software Solutions Sales Consultant to join their Gauteng based team on a permanent basis. The client is based in both Centurion and Johannesburg North.
As the Solutions Sales Consultant in the Location and Commerce vertical, you will be responsible for proactively seeking out new clients in commerce and e-commerce, and retaining existing clients through excellent solution delivery and service.
This is an ideal role for a mid to senior level candidate who would like to grow into a senior solutions role with key account management responsibilities.
Salary – R35 to R55k/month basic package, negotiable and dependant on experience. Incentives based on targets will be an added benefit.
Responsibilities – New Business Development & Client Retention
Acquiring and developing new customers and ensuring retention of existing customers with the companies tactical and operational solutions
Writing and presenting high quality proposals
Interpreting the key features and benefits of these solutions in line with the client’s priorities, and using your knowledge of the base capabilities to adapt for the client’s specific needs
Developing and managing account plans
Sales Administration and other duties that may be assigned from time to time based upon the requirements of the organization
Demonstrations and product introductions for clients
Maintaining excellent customer service and owning the client
Provide support on client-specific solutions
Attend training session and seminars as and when required within the service areas
Attend client functions as and when required
Becoming expertly familiar with relevant products and services
Supporting team targets by contributing your strengths to other members
Appropriate tertiary education – degree-educated
Knowledge of geo-spatial technologies will be advantageous
Valid drivers’ license and own reliable transport
You should have 5+ years solutions sales experience with a strong ability to determine what customers need.
Demonstrable experience in problem-solving and solutions selling is critical – simple and complex ways of solving a new problem.
You should also have experience and high level of maturity in dealing with people at different seniority levels.
Experience in BI, Market Research, Analytics, GIS, etc within the Retail or Commercial sectors will be highly desirable.
