Somizi confesses after being sh0cked by Kelly Khumalo

Somizi Mhlongo appreciates his loyal friend Kelly Khumalo after she was a no-show at a recent performance in Zimbabwe. Somizi was left in awe at the amount of loyalty she has for him so he penned a sweet appreciative note for her.

Somizi’s dedication post pointed out how Kelly has proven time and time again how loyal she is. This has been proven by the many situations they were faced with which saw them being there for each other.

“Hayi shem wena Miss loyal, I know how sensitive you are when it comes to loyalty….and you have proven so many times what the word means. Me and u have been there for each other in situations the world don’t know about.

Somizi said even if Kelly went to the gig in Zimbabwe, he wouldn’t have been offended “Recently you have been tested not once but twice and still you rose for the occasion….and this time even if you took the offers I wasn’t gonna be offended but still you didn’t….being replaced by you would be an honor to me and would show that I need big shoes to replace me….but u didn’t because your loyalty would not allow you. Kelly Khumalo …..ngiyavuma (I yes you)….

I love u…..and I hope you will never ever doubt that I’d also do the same for you,” he promised.

Kelly commented on Somizi’s post which was accompanied by a video of them dancing. She said, “I’m in tears, I don’t even know what to say. I love you my friend. F**k who’s chopping onions.”

Kelly’s loyalty was tested when she turned down a gig in Zimbabwe. The same country which barred Somizi from entering it’s borders because he is gay. The Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe wrote a letter which stated their reasons to not want him disturbing of Zimbabwe as a country. “Somizi is a homosexual, hence according to our people driven constitution, Zimbabwe doesn’t tolerate homosexuality.”

Kelly was supposed to replace Somizi at the reopening of the Garwe restaurant in Zimbabwe, on November 14 – but she did not budge.

In response to the backlash, Somizi said “If it means you not wanting me for me being me, authentically me, keep it. Keep your space. Keep your country, I don’t want to be there anyway.”

“I’m okay with it, but I’m not okay at the same time, because I could easily say, I don’t care. I live in a country where I’m free to be me. It does not affect me because I don’t need to go anywhere else because I am safe, I am comfortable, I am happy in my country. Our Constitution is better than anywhere else in the world.”
