Controversial TV host Molemo Katleho Maarohanye aka Jub Jub’s reputation, was tainted so hard in December 2021, after his utterances on Podcast And Chill with MacG landed him in hot water with Amanda Du Pont and other women.

Amanda came out guns blazing to slam Jub Jub following his interview with MacG, where claimed that he used to “smash” Amanda. In a shocking turn of events exposed him for allegedly raping her multiple times while they were in a relationship a few years ago.

“No, you didn’t smash me, you raped me, you forcibly opened my legs, forced me myself for two years and made me believe that there was no way out. . The most painful part of all of this was that I was a virgin and I told him at the time. I told Jub Jub at the time that I was a virgin and I planned to be a virgin until the time I got married,” said a tearful Amanda.

In a statement Jub Jub apologized for humiliating HER and admitted to have been wrong for discussing their “bedroom affairs” “It was inappropriate for me to discuss the intimate details of my relationship with Ms Du Pont in public. I deeply regret the incident,” he continues.

“I also apologize to my fans and the public for the inappropriate language I used during the interview.

With regards to the accusations levelled against me by Amanda and others. Jub Jub “I have decided to make a room for the law to take its course and I request the media and the public to do the same.”

Following these allegations Jub Jub suffered devastating reputational damage resulting in a loss of professional livelihood. This follows after Moja Love axed him from hosting the controversial Uyajola9/9 show.

According to IOL Jub Jub said he would be taking legal action against Amanda and the women who accused him of rape. They were ordered “retract the unfounded allegations made against him, and ultimately apologise for their claims.

“Molemo and his management team would not leave the claims unattended and have since taken a decision to serve Amanda du Pont, Maschaba Khumalo, Refilwe Khumalo and Bonokuhle Nkala with letters of demand with clear instructions that they should retract the unfounded allegations made against him, and ultimately apologise for their claims.

“Failure to adhere to the instructions will see our son, who like any South African citizen whose constitutional rights has been infringed, go the legal route to clear his name,” said family spokesperson Andile Ngcobo.

Jub Jub has since disappeared from social media. His last post was on 6 December 2021, in which he had apologized to Amanda. Will he return to social media in the near future or is his career over?
