A PROVINCIAL baby shower for Makhosazane Shelembe has been set for 26 September in Durban.

Taking to Facebook, she wrote: “It’s a provincial baby shower in honour of MaShelembe. We have a sponsor for the decor, Thumumoya, and cake by Phumla Nkonyeni. Another good Samaritan is working on the venue. We’ll have the answer by end of today. Hopefully, that will give her the courage to get out of that pit of toxicity. Clear your diaries ladies.”
A number of women across KZN, including Health MEC Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu, promised to contribute towards the baby shower.
Speaking to Daily Sun, Ncumisa said: “After that public humiliation, I decided to stand up and use my voice. The trauma and emotional pain she is going through pierced my heart. For that reason, I asked the KZN community to assist me in organising this baby shower.”
She said a number of business people had already offered to help.
“The decor and cake are already confirmed. We also have someone who will pamper her with a facial and manicure. We are still accepting gift vouchers and any kind of service. But, we are not taking cash,” said Ncumisa.
She said they would also be happy if someone could buy Makhosazane a cellphone as she did not have a smartphone.
She said the whole idea was to make her feel good.
“We might not be able to take away her emotional trauma, but this is the least we can do.”
She is currently seven-months pregnant and due in November. – Daily Sun
