Romeo’s Real Wife Fired On Scandal

Popular ETV soapie; Scandal had fans stressing when rumours circulated claiming Hungani Ndlovu who plays the role of Romeo Medupe had been fired from the show. These rumours were sparked by a published article by Sunday World. Although the soapie disputed every allegation stated in the article on their social media page, which read:” Hungani has not been fired by production. We’re happy with his excellent professionalism and work ethic”, Hungani has not responded to the article.

However, sources on the set of the soapie have stated that all is not well as Scandal claims. Viewers of the soapie were relieved to hear that their favourite villain “wasn’t leaving” the soapie but wondered where Hungani’s wife is. Hungani’s wife; Stephanie Sandows who played Ingrid on the show has been written off on the show and this has divided the couple.

The couple met on the set of Scandal and fell in love right away, started dating and got married two years later. The show made Hungani a permanent cast member and Ingrid was a calling cast member until she left the show.

On the show, Stephanie’s character; Ingrid was a receptionist and appeared often but this changed when they gave Ingrid’s job to Phindile. The last time we saw Ingrid was almost a month ago when she was showing Phindile around and training her.

The couple has been busy with their YouTube channel ‘The Ndlovu’s uncut’ which has more than 175k followers and is doing immensely well. Stephanie has stepped away from the show and is focusing on other ventures including their channel.

She doesn’t want Hungani to leave the show even though she’s apparently been hurt by the producers for letting her go. This was Hungani’s big break in the industry, fans love him so much that they’ve even compared him to the great Sello Maake Ka Ncube and have promised to stop watching the show if he leaves.
