PICS: See Uzalo MaMlambo’s Family House In Real Life

It’s not news that Uzalo star, Gugu Gumede had quite a privileged life growing up, being the daughter of one of the lost influential politicians in the country.

Everybody knows Gugu Gumede’s mom is Zanele Magwaza-Msibi, the National Freedom Party president, former legislator and Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of South Africa in ex president Jacob Zuma’s cabinet.

Gugu Gumede also lived abroad at some point, whilst attending the Acting and Drama Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, USA.

She grew up in, KwaZulu-Natal in a small town called Ulundi and at some point they moved to Durban because of her mother’s work.

So it’s no surprise that their family home is grand.

The mansion is situated in Umhlanga Ridge , north of Durban.

In the past, Gugu Gumede’s family home has grabbed the headlines several times.

Back in 2014 the house was broken into by robbers at 4am in the morning.

The robbers held Gugu Gumede at knife point and demanded cash and other valuables.

Magwaza-Msibi was upset that her daughter was terrorized by the robbers and indicted that Gugu was traumatized from the incident.

It’s a very traumatic experience and my daughter, who was at the house at the time, is still in shock and traumatized.

“While I am grateful that my daughter was not hurt, as a mother, I cannot imagine the trauma she went through as she was accosted by armed men” she said at the time.

Then last year in November the High Court ordered the sheriff to attach Magwaza-Msibi’s assets, including her, house after she reportedly failed to pay R238 000 in legal fees to Kunene and Associate for a case she lost.

However the issue was resolved at the money matters seemed to have been settled.

For such a grand house, it sure comes with colorful history just like its occupants.
