Dollar From The Queen Is Scandal’s Mamba

I was skeptical when Scandal introduced Violetta Mamba and Simo because even though I’d seen Cindy Mahlangu in action on The Queen, I had no idea who Sandile Mahlangu was.

The two Mpumalanga natives have now given us a reason to watch Scandal again with their sordid, pretentious and deceitful entanglement. The two characters have slowly wormed their way into our hearts and their true intentions have come to the fore.

Cindy has taken on the character of Violetta Mamba, a stylish married woman, born of a dressmaker and in love with a man who is not her husband. Her lover Simo is portrayed by Sandile; Romeo’s half-brother and Mamba’s Accountant. Simo cooked Mamba’s books and stole 5million rands from Mamba and has to replace it before he notices.

Simo and Violetta have been relentlessly plotting and scheming behind Grace Medupe and Romeo to get the 5million rands. They have even undertaken a fictitious sibling bond so that Simo can date Grace and ‘take’ her money. Simo failed to worm his way into Romeo Medupe’s household and has seduced his lonely mother to get the money instead.

After Romeo’s attempts to expose his brother’s real reason for dating Grace failed, he contacted Mamba. However, the show has hidden Mamba’s identity and I assume will only be revealing him later. The only glue we’ve had about the actor who will play Mamba is his voice.

When I listened to his voice, it sounded familiar. It gave me chills on my back, it sounded as dangerous as Simo and Violetta have explained.

I finally figured out that Dollar played by Simo Magwaza from The Queen has the same voice as Mamba from Scandal last night. We’ve admired Magwaza play the villainous Dollar since the inception of The Queen and I can’t wait for the big reveal soon.
