SkeemSaam: Marothi Is Falling into Rachel’s Trap

Skeem Saam’s Rachel and Marothi started dating when Rachel was still a teenager in High school. The huge age gap between the two never sat well with their families and friends, more especially Rachel’s family who wanted her to focus on her studies and fulfil her dad’s dream for her to become a medical doctor.

Looking back at their union it’s safe to say it has been nothing short of drama. From their dating days to their big wedding day when Rachel got cold feet and ran for her life, later returning to say her vows and become Mrs Maphuthuma, to their messy divorce that is unfolding right before our eyes.

The drama began when Marothi started cheating on Rachel with a young varsity student by the name of Kaone. This didn’t sit well with Rachel who then decided to drug Marothi – telling the people of Turfloop that he has a drug problem.

It’s safe to say that Marothi has searched for Rachel “everywhere”! 🤨 #SkeemSaam @macks.papo

When he found out about this he filed for divorce, however, Celia Kunutu’s only daughter isn’t having any of it. Let’s just say she’s not getting out of this marriage just like that.

Over the last couple of episodes, Rachel has been ripping Marothi apart. She’s cleaning out his bank accounts, disappeared and has made it look like he has abducted him.

Is Marothi expecting too much from Rachel? #SkeemSaam @macks.papo @lesego_marakalla

As unethical as this sounds, a lot of the soap drama’s viewers commend Rachel on not dancing to the beat of her husband and standing out up herself. At this point, the more Marothi tries to defend himself the guiltier he appears. This seems like it was Rachel’s plan all along.
