Zodwa SLAMMED for buying her fiancé a “CHEAP” ring
Zodwa Wabantu forked out thousands of rands to buy an engagement ring for her new fiancé Ntobeko Linda but some fans don’t think the amount she spent was enough.
The dancer popped the question to her long-term partner over the weekend.
She surprised Ntobeko with a special-cut rose gold band costing R5 217. Zodwa also bought her own engagement ring. Her custom-made rose gold morganite and diamond ring set her back a whopping R47 826.
Including VAT, Zodwa forked out R61 000 for both rings.

Zodwa gave her Instagram followers a glimpse of their rings. She shared a picture of the invoice to show how much she paid for each ring!
“Don’t touch. Only made for me. Don’t give your boyfriends money to act like they bought it for You. Buy it yourself,” she joked on Instagram.
While Zodwa’s followers were happy about her engagement, some zoomed in on the price difference between the rings.
“Yoh, the price difference. [sad face emoji],” one Instagram user wrote.
Another added: “Fifty thousand for Zodwa’s ring and only five thousand for bae. [laughing emoji].”
Some of her followers warned her about flaunting her pricey ring online.
“Zodwa, ain’t this supposed to be private and confidential,” one commented.
A second wrote: “You going to need 27/4 security with that ring, it’s so beautiful.”
Zodwa told the Daily Sun she is planning both a white and a traditional wedding.
She hopes to get married before the year ends.
“We have been together for six years. When I proposed to him, I was ready for any response. I would have accepted it if he’d said no. But I am happy to say he said yes,” she said.
During her proposal, Zodwa revealed that she bought the rings with her “bum” – more specifically her dance gigs.
We wonder how much she has stashed away for the wedding!
