South African musician King Monada has finally spoken out following reports that he is struggling to finish the huge new multi-million rand house which he is building for his family in the village.

The Malwedhe hitmaker who is well-known for putting Limpopo’s modem music on the map and flaunting his fancy cars on social media is building his family a huge six-bedroomed house. The family house is located opposite his house in Mokgolobotho, a small village without water and electricity outside Tzaneen, Limpopo. Some reports suggest that the house will cost between R1.5 million and R3 million.

The structure was expected to be completed in April but the father of five later stopped construction saying that it would now be completed after the lockdown.

However, some fans have been taking to social media suggesting that the artist is struggling to finish the house as he has now gone broke due to the extended lockdown. A lot of people in the entertainment industry have decried the effects of the lockdown regulations saying that they are failing to earn.

King Monada decided to set the record straight. The Malwedhe hitmaker acknowledged that the extended lockdown regulations had adversely affected him. He, however, denied reports that he has gone broke or that he is failing to finish building his family’s house.

Said King Monanda,

“I grew up from a family with nothing. We sometimes went to bed without food nor knowing what to eat the following day. Those lessons taught me that every cent counts. I have enough to pay my bills and finish my dream house”

He expects that the house should be finished shortly.
