Ex-Kaizer Chiefs Star Katsande’s Second Home Reportedly Goes on Auction After ‘Failing’ to Pay the Bank

Zimbabwean football star and former Kaizer Chiefs defender, Willard Katsande, is reportedly facing the potential loss of his second home. Earlier this year, he was on the brink of losing his R2 million house in Johannesburg, and now, recent reports by Zimoja indicate that his second home was up for auction.

The auction took place on Tuesday, 25 July, with the Sheriff in Krugersdorp, West Rand, putting Katsande’s house at The Dunes Estates, Homes Haven Extension, on the market.

However, the home failed to sell at the auction, and a new auction date will be scheduled, as stated by Mrs. Erasmus from Krugersdorp.

This comes after previous reports about Katsande’s first home in February when the Gauteng High Court granted SB Guarantee Company a default judgment to repossess the property.

Katsande, who is also a businessman and co-owner of the Boss Ya Mboko clothing brand, clarified that he pays for two houses.

He attributed the payment issues to a technical problem with his bank app, which resulted in him paying one bond twice and missing payments for the other.

Katsande assured that he had addressed the situation, making payments towards the arrears and resolving the matter with the bank lawyers.
