Khama Billiat Joins Yadah FC – ‘R380k cash as a signing-on fee’

Khama Billiat Makes Shock Move to Yadah FC After Kaizer Chiefs Fallout

Former Kaizer Chiefs sensation Khama Billiat has made headlines once again, this time for his unexpected move to Zimbabwean club Yadah FC on a one-year contract.

Billiat’s departure from Kaizer Chiefs in 2023 sparked controversy, leading to his search for a new club within the competitive DStv Premier League.

The deal with Yadah FC reportedly makes Khama Billiat the highest-paid player in the Castle Lager Premier League, with a reported base salary of $5,000, equivalent to approximately R95,000.

While Dynamos had shown interest, Yadah FC’s offer, backed by hard cash from owner Prophet Walter Magaya and sponsorship from Better Brands, ultimately sealed the deal.

Kaizer Chiefs, where Billiat previously earned around R800,000, offered him a new contract with a significant salary cut of 60%, amounting to approximately R450,000 per month plus bonuses.

However, Billiat declined the offer, opting for a fresh start with Yadah FC.

As Billiat embarks on this new chapter, speculations arise about his future in football.

While reports suggest that this one-year deal might mark the end of his professional career, Billiat’s camp has yet to confirm these rumors.

Despite the uncertainties, Khama Billiat’s move to Yadah FC signifies a bold step in his career, opening new opportunities in the vibrant landscape of African football.
