How Actress Thandeka Mdeliswa Died…….More Details Emerge

Mzansi soapie industry woke up to the sad news of the passing of another great young talent on Sunday morning.

Tributes have started pouring for the 34-year-old actress Thandeka Mdeliswa who succumbed to bullet wounds yesternight at Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria.

While announcing her untimely death this morning, her family wrote: “She was shot in Evander, Mpumalanga on Thursday 3 September 2020. She was immediately rushed to Evander hospital, stabilized, and then airlifted to Witbank after which she was transferred to Steve Biko Academic Hospital (Pretoria). She passed on on the morning of the 5th of September (Saturday).”

Explaining what really transpired on the day she was shot, the family said the police were still investigating a capable homicide and would result in a statement when investigations have been carried through.

Unconfirmed reports reaching the publication have revealed that the incident was a result of gender-based violence between Thandeka, her boyfriend, and her brother.

Although not much has been released to the public, the publication can confirm that Thandeka had been staying with her unnamed boyfriend in time of her death.

However, on the day of the incident, she was at her family’s home in Evander, Mpumalanga.

It is alleged that two unnamed men – one presumably her boyfriend – came through to her home where they started an argument with her brother, leading to one of the men taking out a gun and shooting Thandeka Mdeliswa.

Briefly SA reports that the men ran away and the police have said that they know who the owner of the gun is but they are still pursuing the shooter.

More details of the story will be updated once an official statement from the family or the police had been readout.
