Similarities Between Simphiwe Ngema and Phindile Gwala’s Real Lives & Relationships
Former Muvhango stars Simphiwe Ngema and Phindile Gwala-Ngandu who played the roles of sisters Thuli and Nonny on the SABC soapie Muvhango seem to share more than an amazing relationship. The two beautiful actresses seem to share uncanny similarities in how their real lives and relationships have turned out.
Despite Simz and Phindile leaving Muvhango, the pair have remained close and have become sisters in real life, something which is not so surprising if you consider how their lives have turned out.
Phindile’s first husband died in a tragic accident when the couple’s daughter Thato was just a little baby. The vivacious actress found herself a young widow who had to raise a baby all on her own. This is in part similar to Simphiwe Ngema who also found herself a young widow at the age of 27. Simz was married to musician and Rhythm City star Dumi Masilela in May 2017 at a beautiful intimate wedding ceremony. Unfortunately, their union was short-lived after Dumi Masilela was tragically killed when he was shot in a botched hijacking barely 3 months later.
After struggling with dating for several years, Phindile finally found love in the arms of Armando Ngandu. Armando who is a model and who was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) was able to put Nonny’s fears at ease and after 2 years of dating, the pair got married in a beautiful intimate ceremony.
After the pain of losing her husband, Simz was also able to move on and love again after she met Tino Chinyani. Coincidentally, Tino is a model just like Armando. But it does not end there. Just like Armando, Tino is also a foreigner, although he hails from Zimbabwe and not from the DRC.
