GA-MOGOBOYA- Police in Maake are investigating a case of murder after a woman in her late 30s was shot and killed at Ga-Mogoboya under Greater Tzaneen.
Police said about three men entered the tavern known as Ga-Mmaphala Beer Hall in the early hours of Sunday, July 09 started shooting randomly and ordered the patrons to lie down and robbed them of cell phones and cash.
During the shooting, the suspects shot one woman, who later succumbed due to gunshot wounds at the scene.
It further alleged that the tavern owner noticed what was happening and immediately switched off the light and hid in the tavern when one suspect followed him to demand money he hit him with a spade and he was left unconscious until police arrested and took him to the hospital for medical care.

Police said the suspects fled the scene after the attack with a white VW polo tsi.
Several Cartridges fired from a pistol were found scattered on the scene.
The arrested suspect was identified as a man from Moime village, meanwhile the details of the deceased will be withheld until the family is informed.
