Moja Love Cuts Ties with 'Sizok'thola' Presenter Amid Controversy

In a surprising development, Moja Love Channels has publicly declared the termination of its association with Xolani Khumalo, the presenter of the channel’s prominent show, ‘Sizok’thola.’

A statement issued by Siyaya TV Channels spokesperson Nonzwakazi Cekete read, “The channel will not be commenting on any matters relating to Mr. Khumalo at this stage and wishes him everything of the best in his future endeavors.”

This decision follows an incident in July where Khumalo and his team faced backlash after an interrogation led to the death of a man.

Khumalo was linked to the death of Robert ‘Kicks’ Varrie, an alleged drug dealer, after he and his team allegedly cornered and interrogated Varrie at his Katlehong residence.

Shortly after the incident, Khumalo surrendered to the Katlehong North Police Station, where he was charged with murder and later granted R20,000 bail.

In response to the charge, Khumalo’s foundation issued a statement confirming that he had turned himself in “in connection with an incident that occurred at one of the last drug busts.”

Initially, the channel, which is broadcast on DStv, released a statement acknowledging the incident, revealing the deceased’s name, and stating that they would investigate the circumstances leading to the alleged drug dealer being taken to the hospital.

Moja Love’s announcement has triggered a strong reaction from viewers who feel that the channel is abandoning Khumalo.

Khumalo’s case has been postponed to November 21, pending a decision by the director of public prosecutions on whether the matter should be transferred to the High Court for trial.

IOL Entertainment has reached out to Khumalo, and updates will be provided when his response is received.
